My grandfather, RIP, who was killed in the explosion

67 years to the bombing of the King David Hotel, Jerusalem, 1946

On the 22 of July 1946, the Irgun Tzva’i Le’umi (Etzel) placed a bomb in the hotel, causing great destruction of the loss of 91 lives.

One of those people was my grandfather, Shmuel Yeshaya.

The event has been controversial historically as well as morally, but every year it was at least mentioned on the news on the yahrzeit.

This year, it has not. Or maybe I missed it.

So I started a page in the memory of my grandfather, dedicated to the personal aspects of this tragedy. Another page is about the  bombing of the King David Hotel, Jerusalem, 1946
